More than half of the working U.S. Americans will experience back pain in their lives. Some do nothing which then gets worse as we age and some take action to prevent future problems. You can immediately suffer from back pain by simply twisting your back the wrong way as you bend down to pick something up and you can develop back pain from simply slouching your back you sit in front of your computer.
So do you quickly relieve the pain you feel when something like this occurs? Well, imagine the posture you are supposed to have when sitting in a chair. Feet are flat and your back is propped up straight, right? Well, that is the position you must put yourself in immediately but, you must get in that type of position with your back on the floor. That is right, you must be lying down so your back is flat and you need place something under your legs to they are propped up. Remember to visualize your self sitting, so your legs have to mimic that position. I would suggest maybe placing several pillows or maybe a box that you can put your legs over.
Keep this posture for about 15 minutes. You soon notice that the pain is quickly going away. Is this a permanent fix? No, it is not but it will take the pain away quickly but only temporarily. This works because you are taking the pressure of certain discs and pressure points. You are also taking the weight off of your muscles that may be putting pressure on certain types of bones. Once the 15 minutes are up, then place your legs on the ground so you are lying flat on the ground. Stay like that for 5 minutes. Depending on how you feel you may want to continue this exercise on and off until you feel ready to stand up.
It is important that you see a chiropractor immediately after experiencing one of these episodes. A chiropractor can determine where the pain is located and can figure out what to do to improve the soaring area.
